Annoucing my new Grandson!!!!

Hi everyone, I know I have been very quiet...my mojo and stamping interest have waned for awhile. Hopefully I will be back to it soon.

Today I want to share my gorgeous, beautiful, sweet new Grandson with you! He was born this morning at 10:42 a.m., Arizona time. He weighs 6 lbs. 2 oz and is 18-1/2" long. He came into the world scaring his parents, as he turned blue. He is fine now and sooo beautiful. His name is Dylan Gregory and I am in love with him already, even though I can't see him. My heart is with my children and grandchildren. I miss them so much. Dylan Gregory was named after his fabulous grandfather Gregory Bassey, who passed away a few weeks ago....May he rest in peace. I wish he could have been able to see this beautiful boy! Maybe their paths crossed in heaven before he got here. Here is his first picture.

He looks just like his daddy did when he was born. Look at all that hair already! Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Mothers Day!

WooHooo!! Big Snow & my first Video!

I am so excited....it is snowing big time here! I am so sorry for those of you in other parts of southeast who have more of this stuff than you ever want to see again. But I cannot hide my excitement, as we very seldom get a good snow that will stick for more than a day. It gets ugly and yucky as it melts. I have been wanting to see the good stuff and we are having a full force...Big flakes snow storm today!!! Woopeeeee! We are suppose to get 6", which is quite a bit here.

The other thing that I am so excited about is that I made a video of it and figured out how to post it with my little digital camera!!!! It een has sound, but I kept my mouth shut. LOL! I am soooo excited about this! I have been trying to figure out how to load videos (still have a lot to learn) for so long. My camera won't take more than a minute at a time, so this is my minute!!! I hope you can view it with not problems. I would love to receive some blog love in the way of comments on it.

Now I am gonna go watch the snow!!!! Have a fabulously blessed and creative day my friends!

TJ's & Paper Temptress! Oh happy me!

Are you surprised? I am posting 2 times in one day! Well I had to share this with you!

I bet you have all heard of Technique Junkies (or TJ's for short), right? Have you heard of the Paper Temptress ? Well TJ's has a weekly giveaway and it is different ever week! This week I won this stunning card created by Pat Phuntoon (TJ's Owner) and a $25.00 gift certificate from the Paper Temptress!

This card is so beautiful and shimmery. It arrived today & the picture does not do it justice. Pat calls it the Rainbow Collage technique. I am not sure how it is done though. Pat cut and pieced the images on the right lower corner. The stamps used on this card are from "I Brake for Stamps" I just love this set and hope to someday have it in my collection.

I have already done my shopping at The Paper Temptress and now just waiting for my goodies to arrive! I will say that Patricia, the owner is so very sweet and helpful!

I you want to learn more about TJ's and Paper Temptress, Just click on their names above and it will take you to the links.

Thanks Pat from Technique Junkies and Patricia from the Paper Temptress! You are both great ladies!

I would rattle on and tell you more, but my stomach has bee really upset for the last few hours, so I am going to go lay down!

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice evening, Hugs Lori

Congratulations!! Expecting your first Baby!

Hi Everyone,

This is the card I made to send to my Son Robert and his wife Dana. If you remember a few posts ago I posted that they are expecting my first Grandson!

I have seen his sonogram and he is beautiful. He is expected to arrive mid May and his name is Dylan Gregory! Wooohooooooo! I am so excited about this!

On to the card.....

I used my Nestibilities small Deckled die for the focal piece, which is a PSX image.

The background images are from a Hero Arts set called "Bundle of Joy". The Congratulations stamp is from The Paper Garden!

Well, off to do some more creating! Hope you like the card! Hugs Lori

Gift Card Holder!

I hope your having a fabulous day! I am just a bit frustrated because I have been
wanting to share this gift card holder that I made at Christmas time and after trying for 2 hours, I can't find where I got the instructions for this. Now I always make myself a blank template on cheapy card stock or write instructions down, but they are scattered. I know I got it from a video, but can't find the one I got it from..............WoooooHoooooo!!!! I just found it!!! I got this from StampTV with Gina K Designs and here is part 2 .

As you can see Gina decorated hers so nicely and mine is kind of plain. My intentions were to make a nice one, but I got in a rush and just wanted to insert it in the Christmas card it was meant for. It was fun to make though!
.

My search did benefit you though, as while I was searching, I grabbed the links to the various different gift card holders that I found.

If you don't already know it, all of these ladies....Gina, Dawn, Kim & Angie are all stars in the stamping world and each has a great selection of videos to watch, so I hope you enjoy the links.

A tip for you....did you know that all of these gift card holders are the perfect size to hold ATC's too! So if you want to give an ATC as a gift to someone who loves them, this is a great way to do it.

Dawn Griffith and here there are other gift card holders, as well as quite a few other projects

Have a happy Friday, a great weekend and happy stamping!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

Howdy friends, I hope you are having a fabulous week. Mine has been very good, some of which I will save for later posts, so watch for more than one post today.

I finally made a waterfall card! I have been wanting to make one for years and
found a video on You Tube about a week ago that really made it easy to create. Click on the words "You Tube " above to go to the video. If you look at the side bar under related videos, you will see other waterfall card videos, if you need inspiration. Dawn Griffiths is really good too!

This card was for my Father-in-laws Birthday on February 20Th. He already has it and Mark (hubby) says that he kept playing with it all evening. I thought that alone was a big compliment.

Dad likes clocks and usually for his Birthday, I try to make him a clock card of some kind. This year I was at a loss as to what to do and when I saw this video it hit me that it was perfect.

This is the front with the waterfall.

1st Step opened

2ND step opened

3rd & final step opened

I also decorated the inside of the card. I used 2 ivory colored pieces
of card stock and sponged the edges with Brown Timber ink by PSX.
That is the ink I used for the whole card.
Supplies: Green c/s...Unknown, Lighter Green Decorative heavy weight double sided paper, Unknown (Not very good at keep track of papers...sorry! I will try to keep track of new papers received, but have tons of unknown, so it will be hit & miss!) Stamps: Time...Raindrops on Roses, Dad...That's all she stamped, The Lord Bless you....Stampendous, Wishing you a day of Memories....Penny Black, Happy Birthday...all Night Media. Others....Clock Stickers, Brads and Jute Twine for pull.
I wish you a wonderful weekend and leave you with this:
For He shall give his Angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all ways.....Psalms 91:11
P.S. Thank you for your wonderful comments and I love getting them.

Dear Friend....., and the most exciting news!!!

Hi friends,

I made this card last night and called it "Dear Friend". You can see why....I actually handwrote the words on the card with a metallic silver gel pen.

If you look at the image, she is writing what appears
to be a letter, so this fit perfectly. I glued 3 small Prima
flowers to the right hand corner and added the little
embellishment to it. Then I maded the dots with the
silver pen down the side. I am sorry, I don't know
who makes this image, as it was sent to me a long time
ago. Not the stamp, just the image pre-stamped. If
you know who makes it, I would love to know.

I had so many other things to share and then something
soooooooo exciting happened to me this morning that
I have to share with you!

Do you ever feel like you will bust with excitement over
something soooo special, that you want to share it with
the entire world! That is how I feel right now....YUP!

Yesterday I joined face book, not knowing that my sons
were on there and found them when I did a run of my
yahoo address book. Well, not an hour ago, I received
a message from my youngest son Robert, telling me that
he and his beautiful wife Dana are expecting my first
Grandson!!!

Wooooo Stinkin Hooooo! You
wanna talk about doing the
happy dance!!!!!

It's a boy!!!!! And his name is
Dylan Gregory (last name left out to
protect them)!!!!!!! Oh Stinkin Joy!!!!!
Do I sound a little excited!!!! Yupppers!

The good Lord has blessed me with the best thing
thathas happened to me since my beautiful little
Granddaughters were born! Yup! I have 2 of the most
beautiful little Granddaughters! Even though I have
not been able to see them in person for a long time,
I love them with all my heart!

Not trying to be morbid, but if I died tomorrow...I could
not be any happier than I am right now! Sorry to be so
mushy, but that is how I feel and needed an outlet! Thanks
for listening to this crazy Grandma slobber all over you!

Have a fabulous day and Happy Stamping my friends!

Mini CD Album for a dear friend!

A few weeks ago I completed this CD Mini Album for a very special friend...Linda Abby!

This was such a fun and easy project to do and makes a really nice gift for anyone! If you want the instructions, just click on the name above and it will take you to the You Tube video, where I found it! This sweet lady has some fabulous projects.

Here is the front...I am so mad at myself because
I deliberately looked at the make of the designer
paper I used and now can't remember what it
was. I believe I got it at Hobby Lobby though, if
that helps!
When you open the cover.....I used the library
pocket fold she describes in the video to put the
Thanks ATC in. Linda loves cherries and I
rescued the paper from some product (can't
remember what it was.
I cut things off of all kinds of things to use and the
saying on the right panel is one of them.
Here is one side opened....hard to get a picture
of the whole thing.

And here is the other side open.
I left it to Linda to add anything else and her photos
to it. The only drawback is you have to keep things
thin, so that the CD will close.
This was so much fun to make and I had to make
sure she got it before I posted it, since she follows
my blog! Enjoy Linda and thank you for being
my friend! Hugs Lori

Finally got the 3rd Triple Play done!

Finally finished this last card! It was more of a challenge than the first 2 cards. The circle behind the heart is a Fiskars Circle punch and that alone drove me crazy. The evidence is the little piece above the angel on the left panel. That one came out terrible, but I hate waste, so I cut off the good pieces to use elsewhere.

All Stamps used are from the "Heart Strings" set by FireCracker Designs by Pamela. Her link is on my sidebar if you want to go check her out.

I hope you like the card. I have a lot of other things to share, but just have to find the time to get them in a post. Most go for now, as I have lots of fur babies to get supper for. Have a great evening!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi and Happy Valentine's Day! This is the card that has driven me nuts trying to get a good picture of it. I finally took it outside and turned the flash off . The 4th and last picture came out at least so you can see it. All total I took the pictures at least 30 times! It was driving me nuts. I was so happy with the way it came out and soooo wanted to share it.

This card is also a Technique Junkies technique, called Mono Dies! I just love this technique! Now I just need to get more shape dies...LOL! The "I love you" stamp is from the "Heart Strings" set from Firecracker Designs by Pamela. Can you tell that I love this set!

Thanks for coming by and checking it out. I would love to hear what you think of the card.

TJ Triple Play Cards to share

I have a couple of cards that I made using the TJ Technique called Triple Play. There are supposed to be 3 cards, but I am stuck on something on the 3rd card, so I will share it when it is done. however I did decorate a No. 10 envelope for 1 of them. All Stamps used are from Firecracker Designs by Pamela, most being from the set I won last week called "Heart Strings".

Here is the first one

And the matching envelope!

Here is the second one.

This technique makes 3 cards that fit in a No. 10 size business envelope. They are 9" long with the left side flap closed. Open it is 12" long.

This was a very hard design for me to work with, as I am so stuck in the A2 card size mode. I am trying to get out of that mode and widen my boundaries more.

I have another card that I made that I want to share so badly, but can't get anything but a blurry picture from it. I must have taken the picture at least 20 times now. I have been going through my camera book and tried different backgrounds and still can't get it clear. I couldn't edit it out either. Anyone have any camera tips for blurry photos? Any help would sure be appreciated. I seem to be having a lot of problems with that lately.

Anyway, I hope you like the cards and Happy Valentines Day! Lori

Rubbah has arrived and a card share!

I am so excited! My stamps from FCD already arrived. Pamela sure is fast! It does help that we are in the same state. LOL! Just look at that deep red rubber and this stamp set is to die for! Can you tell that I just love it! I have already started cutting for mounting! I use the halo system (Hook & Loop!) and have already added my loop tape. Just have to cut them out and start playing.

Thanks again Pamela...YOU ROCK!!!

Oh and I also figured out how to get my pictures here where I want them, which will make this so much easier. See how they are smaller and side by side.
Now on to the card....A Valentine...of course! I wanted to keep this one...LOL! But it went off to a special lady today....can't say who or she will know before it arrives! Hubby thought the black, red & lavender colors were as he put it "kinda dark", but this time I ignored his valued opinion. Most of the time he is really my best critic and then there are times where he really doesn't understand what we, as stampers, can appreciate! What do you think of it?

I have one of those Photo boxes that you buy at the craft stores that I have loaded with Love, Hearts, Romance and anything Valentines (except stamps), so I pulled some stuff out of the box to put this one together. I do believe all of the die cuts are Sizzix that I used at a friends gathering to punch them out and the oval scallop is a Marvy Giga punch. The corner punch (which I just love) is from All Night Media! It is an oldie, but a goodie! The lavender glittery paper is from Robin's Nest. Can you see the bling on the top heart? This was actually my way of covering up that I didn't get the stamp centered on the heart...LOL! Shhh....don't tell anyone my secret! You won't even know if your not reading all of this post...teehee!
Well, I think I covered everything and I have broken my record by posting a whole 3 days in a row! Actually, I think I have posted more this month than any other month since I started blogging! I still have more coming too! Especially once I start to play with Pamela's stamps!
Thank you for stopping by and may the good Lord bless you with your hearts desires. Hugs Lori

One Sheet Wonder Valentine!

Hi,

How are you today? As you can see....I am on a roll with the posting! LOL! While not making it a New Years Resolution (to much pressure), I have challenged myself to try to post something everyday! Now, I don't know if I will be able to keep it up, but I am at least going to try to post more often!

I have another card share for you today! This one is a Valentine for a special friend and it will go out (hopefully) tomorrow with a special gifty I made for her, that I may share tomorrow! I want to save something to post for tomorrow! It is really special and I hope she likes it!

On to the card. The top layer is a piece from a One sheet wonder sheet that I made a long time ago! I cut the pieces and put them in a baggie so that when I need them, all I had to do was grab what I wanted. I have a few different ones that I have made and hope to create some more soon. I embossed the CuttleBug Love postage stamp on an oval cut from a Marvy Giga Scalloped punch that a friend let me borrow. Then took my gelly roll glitter pen and added lots of glitter over both the layer and the embossed piece. The glitter doesn't look so great in the picture, but looks really beautiful in person.

The stamps used are from 2 different dollar sets, one (the scroll) is from the cupcake set in yesterdays post. I stamped them with PSX Blackberry Ink. Added the little Acrylic heart (XOXO) and bling all over the card. I think if you look close you can see it! The actual card is Bazzill card stock! I love Bazzill c/s! It is so elegant. Here is another view flat on a Blue background.

I decorated the inside too, with another piece of the OSO and the flourishes! See........
I hope you liked my card and that it gives you some inspiration to play! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

WooHoo!!! Don't ya Just Love It! 2nd Post!!!

I am so excited!!!! I just won this fabulous stamp set by Firecracker Designs by Pamela! When I went through the blog hop, I was really hoping to win this set! Isn't it fantastic!

One of my group members e-mailed the group to tell me I won, in the middle of preparing my last post! I had to stop everything I was doing to go see! I was floored and soooo happy!

Thank you Pamela! You rock!!! Hugs Lori

Oh! By the way..FCD's link is on the button on my side bar if you want to go check it out or buy this stamp set!

Happy Birthday ~ My First Easel Card!

Hi Out there in Blog land!

Well I just learned a couple of valuable blog lessons! This is my 2nd time attempting this post! #1 Lesson....keep hitting the save button!!!!!!!!! I had the whole post done and was editing spelling...while checking the preview I found an error. When I went to go out of the preview screen, I lost the whole post!

The second problem I have had is moving my pictures to where I want them. The blogging screen is so small that it is hard to budge the pictures! I have been fighting with them for a half an hour now. Well, dingy me! I just discovered that you can make them smaller (the picures) to move them around, just by snagging the buttons on the picture box! Didn't know that and it would have saved me a lot of grief and time! Well, now I know.....LOL! The other irritating part is that blogger automatically loads the pictures at the top of your post, instead of the bottom. This is why I am fighting to move them. Hmmm.

My other issue today is I seem to be lacking camera knowledge! My pictures are not that great. Please forgive them. I am having trouble with some issues like how to get a good close-up! The closer I get to my subject the blurrier the picture! Anyone have any information on what I am doing wrong? Help would be soooo appreciated!

Now on to my card and those nightmare pictures!

I needed a Birthday card for a dear friend (Stephanie) and I am a couple of days past her Birthday! Happy belated birthday girlfriend!

This is my very first Easel card. I just love this fold! It is sooooo easy to make a quick and cute card. Here is the first of 3 pictures, showing just the front of the card.

This next one shows it at an angle! Unfortunately you can't see all of the glitter on the cupcake. I used my jelly roll glitter pen to brighten it up and it looks so yummy!

Here it is at more of an angle. I made the green background paper with the flourish stamp that came with the cupcake, by stamping it with my Versamark ink pad. It is a dollar set given to me as a gift! The funny part is until I got this particular cupcake, I was hating cupcakes (not the edible ones though....yummy!). I really like this one though!
I stamped the cupcake with Poinsettia dye ink from PSX ( I have a lot of PSX dye pads and re-inkers) onto white c/s, then cut & embossed it with my Nestibilities small circle die. Then sponge it with the same red, before removing the die. Then I chose the next size die and made a mat in black. The Birthday balloons are embossed with my cuttlebug "Birthday" Folder, with a star button for the stop! The "Happy Belated Birthday" stamp is from a set from Inkadinkado, called Birthday Card.

This card is so fun and easy to make. Just take your card stock color of your choice and cut it to 8" x 4" and score it at 2" and 4". Fold your score lines in the same direction to the front of the card, decorate it and don't forget the stop! Viola! Your done! Cute easy card! What do you think? I would love to hear your comments!

Have a wonderful evening and many blessing! Oh! Just got some exciting news, that I will share in a separate post!
Big Hugs Lori

I know Christmas is over, but I haven't shared any cards here in a while. Due to going through some depression, I had to force myself to make this card. It was the only card I made for Christmas. No worries....I have snapped out of the depression, hopefully to stay!

Anyway, I made this card for my Father and Mother-In-Law. Do you get the Symbology of it?
Jesus is the Lamb of God, so I thought this sweet Lamb was perfect! I was quite pleased with the way it came out.

The Lamb is a PSX stamp (Out of Business), stamped with PSX Timber dye ink. I cut the oval with my Small oval Nestibilites, embossed and sponged around it. Then cut the deckled edge panel in brown Bazzill c/s. The ivory panel was run through my cuttlebug Stylized Flowers folder. The card base is beige Bazzill.

Do you like it? I would love to hear your opinion! Leave me a comment about what you think! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday! Hugs Lori

WooHooo...I love Music!!!

Hey Everyone,

I am so excited....I just added one of my playlists here to my blog! So, if you don't want it, you will need to turn your volume down! You will see how dated I am by the songs I have chosen! LOL! I want to hear as much of it as I can, while I can still hear! You see, I am slowly going deaf and I will miss music the most. I don't know if I will go completely deaf or not, but I intend to enjoy the music while I can! Hope you like the songs I have chosen! Hugs Lori
