Rubbah has arrived and a card share!

I am so excited! My stamps from FCD already arrived. Pamela sure is fast! It does help that we are in the same state. LOL! Just look at that deep red rubber and this stamp set is to die for! Can you tell that I just love it! I have already started cutting for mounting! I use the halo system (Hook & Loop!) and have already added my loop tape. Just have to cut them out and start playing.

Thanks again Pamela...YOU ROCK!!!

Oh and I also figured out how to get my pictures here where I want them, which will make this so much easier. See how they are smaller and side by side.
Now on to the card....A Valentine...of course! I wanted to keep this one...LOL! But it went off to a special lady today....can't say who or she will know before it arrives! Hubby thought the black, red & lavender colors were as he put it "kinda dark", but this time I ignored his valued opinion. Most of the time he is really my best critic and then there are times where he really doesn't understand what we, as stampers, can appreciate! What do you think of it?

I have one of those Photo boxes that you buy at the craft stores that I have loaded with Love, Hearts, Romance and anything Valentines (except stamps), so I pulled some stuff out of the box to put this one together. I do believe all of the die cuts are Sizzix that I used at a friends gathering to punch them out and the oval scallop is a Marvy Giga punch. The corner punch (which I just love) is from All Night Media! It is an oldie, but a goodie! The lavender glittery paper is from Robin's Nest. Can you see the bling on the top heart? This was actually my way of covering up that I didn't get the stamp centered on the heart...LOL! Shhh....don't tell anyone my secret! You won't even know if your not reading all of this post...teehee!
Well, I think I covered everything and I have broken my record by posting a whole 3 days in a row! Actually, I think I have posted more this month than any other month since I started blogging! I still have more coming too! Especially once I start to play with Pamela's stamps!
Thank you for stopping by and may the good Lord bless you with your hearts desires. Hugs Lori

One Sheet Wonder Valentine!

Hi,

How are you today? As you can see....I am on a roll with the posting! LOL! While not making it a New Years Resolution (to much pressure), I have challenged myself to try to post something everyday! Now, I don't know if I will be able to keep it up, but I am at least going to try to post more often!

I have another card share for you today! This one is a Valentine for a special friend and it will go out (hopefully) tomorrow with a special gifty I made for her, that I may share tomorrow! I want to save something to post for tomorrow! It is really special and I hope she likes it!

On to the card. The top layer is a piece from a One sheet wonder sheet that I made a long time ago! I cut the pieces and put them in a baggie so that when I need them, all I had to do was grab what I wanted. I have a few different ones that I have made and hope to create some more soon. I embossed the CuttleBug Love postage stamp on an oval cut from a Marvy Giga Scalloped punch that a friend let me borrow. Then took my gelly roll glitter pen and added lots of glitter over both the layer and the embossed piece. The glitter doesn't look so great in the picture, but looks really beautiful in person.

The stamps used are from 2 different dollar sets, one (the scroll) is from the cupcake set in yesterdays post. I stamped them with PSX Blackberry Ink. Added the little Acrylic heart (XOXO) and bling all over the card. I think if you look close you can see it! The actual card is Bazzill card stock! I love Bazzill c/s! It is so elegant. Here is another view flat on a Blue background.

I decorated the inside too, with another piece of the OSO and the flourishes! See........
I hope you liked my card and that it gives you some inspiration to play! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

WooHoo!!! Don't ya Just Love It! 2nd Post!!!

I am so excited!!!! I just won this fabulous stamp set by Firecracker Designs by Pamela! When I went through the blog hop, I was really hoping to win this set! Isn't it fantastic!

One of my group members e-mailed the group to tell me I won, in the middle of preparing my last post! I had to stop everything I was doing to go see! I was floored and soooo happy!

Thank you Pamela! You rock!!! Hugs Lori

Oh! By the way..FCD's link is on the button on my side bar if you want to go check it out or buy this stamp set!

Happy Birthday ~ My First Easel Card!

Hi Out there in Blog land!

Well I just learned a couple of valuable blog lessons! This is my 2nd time attempting this post! #1 Lesson....keep hitting the save button!!!!!!!!! I had the whole post done and was editing spelling...while checking the preview I found an error. When I went to go out of the preview screen, I lost the whole post!

The second problem I have had is moving my pictures to where I want them. The blogging screen is so small that it is hard to budge the pictures! I have been fighting with them for a half an hour now. Well, dingy me! I just discovered that you can make them smaller (the picures) to move them around, just by snagging the buttons on the picture box! Didn't know that and it would have saved me a lot of grief and time! Well, now I know.....LOL! The other irritating part is that blogger automatically loads the pictures at the top of your post, instead of the bottom. This is why I am fighting to move them. Hmmm.

My other issue today is I seem to be lacking camera knowledge! My pictures are not that great. Please forgive them. I am having trouble with some issues like how to get a good close-up! The closer I get to my subject the blurrier the picture! Anyone have any information on what I am doing wrong? Help would be soooo appreciated!

Now on to my card and those nightmare pictures!

I needed a Birthday card for a dear friend (Stephanie) and I am a couple of days past her Birthday! Happy belated birthday girlfriend!

This is my very first Easel card. I just love this fold! It is sooooo easy to make a quick and cute card. Here is the first of 3 pictures, showing just the front of the card.

This next one shows it at an angle! Unfortunately you can't see all of the glitter on the cupcake. I used my jelly roll glitter pen to brighten it up and it looks so yummy!

Here it is at more of an angle. I made the green background paper with the flourish stamp that came with the cupcake, by stamping it with my Versamark ink pad. It is a dollar set given to me as a gift! The funny part is until I got this particular cupcake, I was hating cupcakes (not the edible ones though....yummy!). I really like this one though!
I stamped the cupcake with Poinsettia dye ink from PSX ( I have a lot of PSX dye pads and re-inkers) onto white c/s, then cut & embossed it with my Nestibilities small circle die. Then sponge it with the same red, before removing the die. Then I chose the next size die and made a mat in black. The Birthday balloons are embossed with my cuttlebug "Birthday" Folder, with a star button for the stop! The "Happy Belated Birthday" stamp is from a set from Inkadinkado, called Birthday Card.

This card is so fun and easy to make. Just take your card stock color of your choice and cut it to 8" x 4" and score it at 2" and 4". Fold your score lines in the same direction to the front of the card, decorate it and don't forget the stop! Viola! Your done! Cute easy card! What do you think? I would love to hear your comments!

Have a wonderful evening and many blessing! Oh! Just got some exciting news, that I will share in a separate post!
Big Hugs Lori

I know Christmas is over, but I haven't shared any cards here in a while. Due to going through some depression, I had to force myself to make this card. It was the only card I made for Christmas. No worries....I have snapped out of the depression, hopefully to stay!

Anyway, I made this card for my Father and Mother-In-Law. Do you get the Symbology of it?
Jesus is the Lamb of God, so I thought this sweet Lamb was perfect! I was quite pleased with the way it came out.

The Lamb is a PSX stamp (Out of Business), stamped with PSX Timber dye ink. I cut the oval with my Small oval Nestibilites, embossed and sponged around it. Then cut the deckled edge panel in brown Bazzill c/s. The ivory panel was run through my cuttlebug Stylized Flowers folder. The card base is beige Bazzill.

Do you like it? I would love to hear your opinion! Leave me a comment about what you think! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday! Hugs Lori
